  • Cognate with Dutch kijken ("to look"), German Low German kieken ("to look"), Estonian kiikama ("to look, to peek"), German kucken, gucken, Danish kigge, kikke, Swedish kika ("to peep, peek, keek, pry"), Icelandic kíkja ("to look, check"). Perhaps related to kick.
