Origin
From Hindi झटका ("sudden movement, jerk"), Punjabi ਝਟਕਾ. Derived from Sanskrit word Jhatiti (झटिति) which means "instantly, quickly, at once". Possibly related to Slovak jatka ("slaughterhouse"), Polish jatka ("butcher's shop") and Czech jatky ("slaughterhouse").
