  • Essentially borrowed from Hindi गांधीगिरी; however, its usage was popularized in Hindi and English in 2006 by the movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai, where it originated as a colloquial /tapori synonym of Gandhism in contrast to dadagiri (bullying).
